The central materials of this wall collage are a children’s illustrated bible and a historical book on the inception and first hundred+ years of Detroit. Interspersed are phrases written by a child, an adult playing card, and reflective materials that urge viewers to confront our patriarchal, settler-colonial, and racist past and present.
