Seven booklets that contain photographs of both my parents’ families. Choosing photographs with similar composition and body language, I used tracing paper to outline one photograph to be overlaid onto the next. Here is one containing a photograph of my mother’s grandfather and a photograph of my father, their outlines overlapping and mirroring. Each booklet has a corresponding handmade lai see envelope, a red envelope usually containing a money gift given at Lunar New Year/holidays.
